Betty Hart is an actor, director, instructor, and woman of faith whose mission is to help create space for necessary conversations.

Betty is known for her TEDx Talk “Canceling Cancel Culture with Compassion,” wherein she advocates for curiosity, diversity, empathy, and valuing the whole of a person rather than individual aspects. Cancel culture generally refers to celebrities, but what about the people in our inner circle we are cancelling due to ideological differences? What if instead of removing people from our lives, we extended compassion to them?

Betty is also a member of the Actor’s Equity Association, the union for professional actors, and a director. Additionally, Betty is a full time facilitator and lead of the Experiential Learning Team for Kaiser Permanente’s Arts Integrated Resources (AIR). The Experiential Learning Team creates and delivers workshops for the community on such varied topics as laughter as wellness, care equity, bias, and cultural sensitivity.
